You want to create a Microsoft Teams Template to support any Collaborative Process in your organization? You'll be able to build it in just a few minutes and help your organization with any scenario such as: Deal Collaboration, Project Management, Key Account Management, Crisis Management and more.

There are two simple steps for that:

  1. Create a Team that will serve as the Original Team for the template

  2. Add it to the Teams Template Corporate Catalog with Governance Policies

1. Create a Team that will be the Original Team for the template

  1. Create a Team using the regular way and name it "NAME OF THE USE CASE - Template" (Deal Room - Template; Construction Site - Template; Marketing Department - Template; Project Management - Template... )

  2. Add the different Channels you want (Standard, Private or Shared)

  3. Add files and folders in Files Tab.

  4. Add the different Website tabs to refer to any Intranet Page, Website or WebApp Application (must be in https://)

  5. Add Planner in the relevant channels with Predefined Tasks, Checklist, Description, Labels and Buckets

  6. Add an image to this Team in Jpeg

  7. Add the nBold Service account as an owner of the Team and all the private channels and Shared Channel.

Things to notice:

  • Tips: on windows, launch the emoji keyboard clicking "_Windows" + ";" and pimp the channel name with emoji πŸ’ͺπŸ’―πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜ .

For IOS devices, type "Control" + "Command" +"Space".

2. Make this Team a template

To be able to perform this step you must be a assigned the role Catalog Manager or be a Teams Admin or a Global Admin

Reach the nBold App in Teams and head over to the Template section

Click on "Create a template".

Search for the name of the Team created before.

Define the name of the Template to be shown to end-users in the catalog and the description.

Check the box if you want files and folder copied for Private and Shared Channels.

Naming Tab: add a Default Team Name and Team Naming convention (add a suffix or prefix for example). More details about Naming Convention.

Approval: select who will be the approver of the creation (currently disabled by default)

Audience: define who will be able to create a team with this template

Lifecycle Policy: define if and when a team will be Archived or Deleted after the defined period.

Compliance: define additional sensitivity labels to protect your data.

Security policy: define the enforced privacy policy, membership policy and Permanent owners/members policy

Click "Save"
