Modify your Template

The provided template serves as a starting point. You can customize it by: Changing tasks, adding files and folders, adjusting content to meet specific requirements, add or remove tabs.

Channel Renaming

Do not rename the channels, instead delete and re-create with the right name. If you rename a channel from 'Name1' to 'Name2' in the original team, the corresponding folder name in the associated SharePoint Library will not change and will remain 'Name1'. This will cause issue in the files copy process. To maintain consistency, manually rename the folder in SharePoint from 'Name1' to 'Name2' so that it matches the updated channel name in Teams.

Adapt to your needs

  • Adding Files and Folders

  • Simply add files and folders via the tab section of the respective channel.

  • Add / Remove / Modify Tabs

  • Rename existing tabs if needed

  • Add or remove tabs such As Office Tabs, Channel Calendar, Sharepoint Pages, Document Library, Planner, Lists.

  • Add or remove channels by selecting the existing ones or clicking Add Channel.

  • Edit Teams Settings

  • Team Picture Change: If the team picture is changed, go into the template settings, edit it and save. The new picture will be saved on the template.
